+ No Kidding: Women Writers on Bypassing Parenthood, by Henriette Mantel
- The Sinner, by Petra Hammesfahr - 02/21/18
What I liked about about the unreliable narrator in Gone Girl and The Girl on the Train didn't work for me here. It was just story after story, with her then saying "Nope, JK, officer." Each lie was disturbing, and I rightfully anticipated not being satisfied with the ending after all that buildup. Also, there was a privileged brattiness that irked me throughout. "I committed a crime, and I want you to lock me up, but I don't want you to ask me or my family questions." A lot of demanding by the white lady.

I read all the time, yet this list doesn't reflect that. I read the Express weekly, I read trashy magazines at the gym, and yes, I read a lot of comics. I think I just read slower than I used to.
