I don't know what I hoped to gain by reading this. I'm perfectly pleased with my decision to not have children, so it's not like I was looking for reinforcement. I didn't understand why so many of these essayists felt the need to proclaim how much they LOVE children. Do men often blurt out that they LOVE children? I didn't feel a connection to any of these essays. Finally, I need to remember that I don't often like books written by comedians. The humor often falls flat on the page if their humor is more in their delivery.
